SABIFF 2025's SOUL SATURDAY is a full day of Black cinema and community celebration at the Carver Community Cultural Center and Lil’ Carver—35 films, two screens, one powerful experience.
From 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM = Films In Competition Showcases, enjoy a dynamic lineup of Black documentary and narrative features, shorts, and genre-spanning universal stories that reflect the heart and soul of our festival. At 8:00 PM, we shift the energy with our Filmmakers & Ubuntu Community Awards banquet honoring Films-In-Competition winners and outstanding Texas-based community innovators making an impact social change through the power of in art, law, politics, activism, and spirituality. |

FILMMAKERS FILMS-IN-COMPETITION AWARDS
The films selected to screen in SABIFF 2025 have all been judged and scored by a mix of filmmakers, film educators/ practitioners, and movie fans/aficionados. Each category which includes: Narrative Features and Shorts, Documentary Features and Shorts, Animation, Music Videos and Student Films will be awarded at tonights gala awards ceremony. An Audience Choice Award is voted for by the audience, so don't forget to cast your Vote for your favorite film! SABIFF 2025's evening gala includes: an awards ceremony, live entertainment by the Kenny Keys Jazz Fusion Trio, a 3-course dinner, live DJ. The Emcee of the evening is KROV Radio's Keith Scott.
SABIFF 2025 Welcome's UNITED FILMMAKERS, LLC, who will be present to present at the Awards Gala. Films-In-Competiton feature film winners have the opportunity to worldwide distribution with possible placement on top-tier platforms such as Amazon Prime, Tubi, Hulu, ALLBLK, and more.
