Anthony Severo is a first-time documentary filmmaker who founded 1528 Films to preserve Oakland stories at risk of being lost—stories that represent the city's true depth and complexity. A natural storyteller and Oakland business owner, Anthony brings a resourceful, creative approach to filmmaking, having studied film and worked with scripts and short videos for years before taking the leap into documentary work.
