Dilman Dila

Dilman Dila is a Ugandan writer and filmmaker. His most recent book, Where Rivers Go To Die, was a finalist for the Philip K. Dick Awards in 2024. He has also been recognized by the British Science Fiction Association Awards and the Nommo Awards. As a filmmaker, he has directed works such as The Felistas Fable (2013), The Sound of One Leg Dancing (2011), and Her Broken Shadow (2017), which have been screened and awarded at various international festivals. His short film What Happened in Room 13 reached a wide online audience, with millions of views on YouTube. Dilman continues to write and make independent films, often made possible through the support of communities of enthusiasts, especially within science fiction.
