Film showcases are the heart & soul of every film festival! We have curated all of the selected films into Film BLOCKS, (an hour+ feature film, or a group of shorts that total an hour+) to showcase simultaneously on 2-Screens at 2-venues -- The Carver Community Cultural Center (Blocks 1 - 6) and Lil' Carver Civic Center (Blocks 7 - 12). Open-Call film submissions were carefully judged and programmed into Film Blocks for your enjoyment. We feature powerful stories from the U.S., Tanzania, the Caribbean, Brazil, Angola, Iran, Egypt, Bulgaria, Mozambique, and more. A dynamic mix of films by, for, -and /or- about people of African descent. Don’t miss this chance to experience a day filled with rare Black indie films across genres and universal themes.
