Anichka BanichkaAnichka Banichka is a Bulgarian writer, producer, and singer/composer based in France, with a rich background in ethnomusicology, music and dance. Anichka is the author of Moma Kambana and two acclaimed children's novels, Living Water and Native Word, both adapted into successful theatrical plays. Her collaboration with Mozambican musician Arcenio De Almeida sparked a groundbreaking fusion of Bulgarian and Mozambican music, leading to their award-winning short film, Minha Vizinha (In The Hood). As a screenwriter, producer, director, composer, and more, Anichka has seamlessly combined all her creative talents, making her mark in the literary, music and film worlds.
Arcenio De AlmeidaArcenio De Almeida is a musician, producer, and actor from Quelimane, Mozambique. Starting his career at just 9 years old with the influential group "1 de Maio," he later performed with the band "Saldicos" (an emblematic group of traditional music in the Zambezi region), becoming a well-known artist in Mozambique. After moving to France, he starred in concerts and musicals, before forming his own successful band, which performed at music halls and festivals. Arcenio's collaborations with international icons like Manu Dibango and Salif Keita have established him as a cultural ambassador for Mozambique, striving constantly for the conservation and the promotion of traditional music from his country.
