Katia Cafe-Febrissy​

Katia Café-Fébrissy is a Canadian Paris-born, Toronto-based filmmaker and theatremaker who has lived in five countries and speaks four languages. Drawing on her experiences as an Afro-francophone woman of Caribbean descent, she brings a deeply intersectional lens to the stories she tells. Her films and plays challenge dominant narratives, centering diasporic African communities and other marginalized voices, that have long been overlooked and excluded from the frame.

Katia Café-Fébrissy is the Founder, Lead Producer and President of KaFé Productions inc., a bilingual boutique production company based in Toronto, Canada whose aim is to tell intimate stories in a bold way, as many stories have yet to be told from empowered diverse vantage points.
