Rahim Handy
Rahim Handy is a Dallas based director and cinematographer whose work centers on character driven documentary storytelling rooted in social impact. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinematic Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington, where his visual storytelling received industry recognition including ADDY, CLIO, and REMI awards.
His work explores the intersections of trauma, resilience, and community, using an observational approach that prioritizes authenticity and emotional depth. Blending intimate vérité with a refined cinematic style, Rahim focuses on elevating stories that are often overlooked while reframing narratives from being labeled at risk to being seen as at promise.
He is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Production at the University of North Texas. Becoming Taylor marks his first year MFA film and reflects his commitment to impactful storytelling rooted in real human experience.
