Filmmaker Bio:
C. Nathaniel Brown
C. Nathaniel Brown grew up in the inner city of Baltimore, Md., to a single mother, whom he told at an early age that one day he’d be a professional writer. He used to write thoughts, ideas and funny family stories on scraps of paper and said he planned to put them on television or in a movie. After high school, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Black Studies with a Writing Emphasis from Denison University, a certificate from Ohio University’s Journalism program, and then ventured off into a 20-plus year career as a newspaper reporter. After turning his photography hobby into a business that specialized in wedding photography and portfolio development for models and actors in Pittsburgh, he merged his eye for visuals and his love for words to become a filmmaker. In 2011, he closed the business and moved to Atlanta to pursue his passion for the media and entertainment industries. Since then, he has produced nearly 40 films, including short films, feature films and documentaries. He's also written dozens of screenplays ranging from 3-page shorts to features. He has won multiple awards including ‘Best Screenplay’, 'Best Feature Film', and 'Producer of the Year'. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, eating pizza, and spending time with family and friends. The father of two and grandfather of four boys lives in Atlanta with his wife of 28 years.
