Join SABIFF 2024 for our 6th year anniversary as we continue to celebrate and elevate Black Cinema in San Antonio, Texas. Our theme this year; *reFocus * reCharge *reFresh turns our lens on wellness that allow for healing via health, history, humor... what ever method that frees your mind, body and spirit. We will also turn our spotlight on Texas filmmakers presenting locals works, and having Creatives presents workshops that fuel our theme and introduce film professionals and indie films that are sure to inspire! We put our opening night on hold, and jump straight in to Black Friday (10/4) with school field trips for students, a directing panel, networking events, a SAACAM history film with special guest, a happy hour and Speak easy cool down. Soul Saturday (10/5) twinkles with Cinema Under the Stars film, market place and health festivities in the evening and a full day of Black films exhibited simultaneously on 2-screens and online too. SABIFF is proud to be an empowering platform for filmmakers, and a positive vehicle driving forward to expose to audiences to the myriad of subject matters, stories, voices, perspectives, and diverse images of Black people throughout the global Diaspora that have been historically under-represented. SABIFF is for all to experience, engage and embrace all that Black cinema has to offer to our city, state... world.
