Description: After growing up in the streets, facing death and devastation in prison, a courageous young tribesman is about to break the circle of misery, by building a village for dreamers together with his rural Ghanaian community.
Filmaker's Bio: Elias and Michael were born and raised in Bavaria, Germany. With a life long friendship and their passion for all kinds of media work they decided in 2017, to put their student money together, buy a GoPro camera, a drone, and a one-way ticket to Spain. “Oneway Ticket and Two Cameras” was born. A few years down the line, and several video productions later, they found themselves shooting a full feature documentary in Ghana, West Africa. Without much experience in filming on a cinematic level, or traveling to West Africa - in retrospect, the journey of the movie was exceptional, but the concept remained the same: a “one way ticket, and two cameras”, 6 weeks time, and everything DIY, including the editing, scoring, coloring, and the pictures. Achieving authenticity was the main objective. Today the production company Mierbeth-Herzog is an independent media house that produces a variety of projects in arts and business. contact: [email protected] |
