Description: In a queer all-Black household, three roommates in their twenties struggle to find roommates that they can get along with… and mesh with their leftist, anti-gentrification politics. Backs to the wall, they settle in with someone who turns out to be more than bargained for.
Filmmaker’s Bio:
Shane Santana is a writer-filmmaker from Brooklyn, NY. They studied both psychology and creative writing at The City College of New York, where they graduated in 2020. In 2022, they earned a Master's in Professional Studies in Directing from the School of Visual Arts.
Shane’s creative work aims to tackle issues of antiblackness, cisheteropatriarchy, gentrification, and white supremacy while centering love, intimacy, healing, and growth.
